Each auditionee must prepare up to 90 seconds of a monologue(s) in addition to 32 measures of two songs.  We will not be providing an accompanist- but request that each auditionee bring a CD .  CITA will provide a boom box.

The A. D. Players, founded in 1967 by Jeannette Clift George, pioneered a unique style of theater committed to producing plays and programs that uphold human value, offer creativity, and promote literacy and education. From a small group of part-time actors, the company has increased in size to one of Houston's largest resident theaters, impacting more than nine million people.

Jeannette Clift George, founder and Artistic Director of the A. D. Players continues to represent the Houston community by lecturing extensively throughout the United States. She is a renowned author, director, actress and Golden Globe nominee.

Good Soil Theatre is a touring ministry that performs in Canada and the U.S.
  A team of ten people work in various capacities of acting, tech and volunteer supervision. 
Each team tours with two productions in repertoire.  One is a Missions production that raises 
awareness and funds for Children and AIDS work in Africa.  It is called Little One
The other is a Romantic Comedy that takes place in Rome.   One Rose In Rome has l
aughs, tears and Italian accents.  We are looking for actors for both plays for our 2007/2008 tour. 
It will tour the East Coast of both countries from September to May with a six week break over 
Christmas.  All flights, food and accommodations are covered by Good Soil Theatre along with a 
small monthly stipend of 200.00 during the tour.

Lampost Theatre & Coffee Co. Since 1980 Lampost has been “illuminating the mystery"  through innovative original performances ranging from nationally-touring ensemble works to large-cast musical-  theatre productions. Training projects include working weekly with college students, and training missionaries in the use of performance for cross-cultural ministry. 

At the core of Lampost is the resident ensemble. The ensemble lives in a discipleship community at Lampost's theatre/coffeeshop. Here they interact through study and prayer as well as creative  development. They seek to be missionaries dedicating both creative lifestyle and performance to impacting contemporary culture. Team members are involved in all aspects of Lampost's ministry, including  stage performance, college discipleship, relational ministry in the  coffeeshop, and daily operations of the home base.

Morning Star Productions  is formerly the drama ministry of Eastbrook Church in Milwaukee, WI, Morning Star Productions produces three full-length plays each season. Morning Star was started by actor Alan Atwood when he was hired by Eastbrook to run their drama ministry.  Most of these plays are written by the members of the ministry as a team.  We had 300 subscribers to our first season last year and anticipate growing to 700 this coming season.  We are committed to producing:

1) Great stopries, well -told

2) Within the understanding of our audience

3) and which take place in the reality of the Kingdom of Heaven. 

Actors from outside of our church are paid from $300 to $1200 for an individual show.  If they come in from out of town they are provided with a place to stay (free of charge) and $200 a month spending money.   We are currently looking for three young men to play characters from 17 to 27 years old for a production this coming October.  Rehearsals would begin just after Labor Day and the show would close October 28th.

Regent University’s Department of Theatre Arts offers the Master of Arts (MA) in Theatre with two emphases: Theatre Ministry and Theatre Studies; the Master of Fine Arts in Acting with two concentrations: General and Directing; and the Ph.D. in Communication with a minor in Theatre.  A Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Theatre is currently being proposed.  The Department of Theatre Arts’ mission is to send talented, well-trained artists and scholars of the theatre into the following arenas: professional theatre, cinema, television, ministry, and the academy.  Auditioning Graduate and Undergraduates!

Rosebud Theatre is a professional theatre company that employs a resident company of actors. It is located in Rosebud, Alberta, Canada and is a destination theatre for 40,000 patrons a year, offering a year round season of five plays on two stages. Rosebud Theatre works in partnership with Rosebud School of the Arts in training young theatre artists, including qualified students as apprentices in many of its shows.

Saltworks provides dynamic, interactive and inspiring dramas for children and youth addressing issues of alcohol and drug use, violence, sexual responsibility, and self worth.  Each year, we tour 200 performances to schools throughout PA, Oh, WV, NJ, MD and NY.  These assemblies are designed to educate, challenge and inspire students to make positive choices in threatening circumstances.  Saltworks is a Christian organization and everyone who works with us is a Christian.  We do not evangelize or proselytize through our shows.

Sight & Sound Theatres® operates two theatres in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, near Philadelphia, with a third theatre slated to open in mid-2008 in Branson, Missouri. Sight & Sound produces spectacular original musical productions based on Biblical stories, characterized by casts of up to 50 actors, live vocals, massive yet intricately detailed sets, hundreds of elaborate costumes, live animals, and amazing special effects. Millennium Theatre® is known for its 300-foot-long stage that wraps around three sides of the audience of 2,000 and for its state-of-the-art technical capabilities, while Living Waters Theatre is known for the more intimate style of its 600-seat venue, with some shows including live instrumentals. Internationally-known Sight & Sound is often called the “Christian Broadway” and welcomes about 800,000 guests each year. 

Sight & Sound Theatres has been staging original productions for more than 30 years. All facets of the show, with the exception of commissioned musical scores, are produced at the Theatres’ corporate offices in Pennsylvania. A team of about 500 works in areas including scriptwriting, costume design and construction, set design and construction, special effects, animal training, lighting design and operations, sound, rigging, animatronics, and more.

Taproot Theatre Company, founded in 1976, is a multi-faceted non-profit theatre company founded and guided by Christian artists.  Based in Seattle, Taproot serves the Pacific Northwest with a six show mainstage season, Church and School touring programs, and an acting studio. Taproot exists to create theatre that explores the beauty and questions of life while bringing hope to our search for meaning.  TTC is a member of TCG, the national service organization for non-profit professional theatres.

At CITA, Taproot will be auditioning actors for their school touring programs. Touring throughout the Pacific Northwest, these actors perform at schools with dynamic social issue plays.  During the 2006-2007 school year alone, Taproot performed over 230 times for more that 80,000 students.   

Wycliffe Dinner Theatre (WDT) is an entity of Wycliffe Bible Translators.  Wycliffe Dinner Theatre Teams travel around the United States with 12-14 cast and crew members.  They perform a full length play (complete with cultural meal) highlighting the work of a Wycliffe missionary.  The teams tour twice a year: August to November and January to May.  WDT travels with a full set, lighting and sound equipment, full restaurant set-up with tables, dishes, cutlery and a fully functioning mobile kitchen.  WDT cast and crew primarily consist of college age students, the majority of whom received their education in theatre.  Wycliffe Dinner Theatre's purpose is to share the need for Bible Translation in the nearly 2,300 languages (272 million people) who do not yet have the Word of God in their heart language.  Travel, room and board expenses and a $10 daily expense allowance are provided for all WDT cast and crew members.
