Bill
Jenkins has been working professionally as a set
designer, lighting designer, technical director,
and theatre consultant for over twenty years.
In this time, he has designed hundreds of
productions ranging from dance to opera to
theatre and has received local critics' awards
on several occasions. He received a Masters of
Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth
University while working in Richmond, Virginia
where he also taught for ten years at Virginia
Union
University. In 2002 he moved to Chicago where
he immediately began designing for the Chicago
College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt
University. Now the full-time Technical
Director and resident designer for the Dominican
University Performing Arts Center, he provides
technical support for the university's theatre
productions and guest artist series. He is a
founding member of CITA and has worked with and
designed for many churches producing large-scale
seasonal productions.
