Currently in her 10th year at PBA, Dr. McEniry
is Professor of Theatre and the Director of
Theatre Arts. She received graduate degrees in
theatre and musical theatre from New York
University and studied acting in New York City
at the Actors' Center, Uta Hagen/Herbert Berghof
Studios and with Earle Giester and Robert
Lewis of Yale University.
She has directed numerous productions for
universities, churches and the military, and has
taught theatre, speech, music and musical
theatre courses at New York University,
University of Maryland, Armstrong Atlantic
University and the University of Maryland's
European Division in Nurnburg, Germany.
Dr. McEniry performed extensively in the New
York City metropolitan area in such roles as
Carrie Pipperidge in "Carousel," Julie in "Show
Boat," Fraulein Schneider in "Cabaret," Gillian
in "To Gillian on her 37th Birthday," Catherine
in "Pippin" and Maria in "The Sound of Music."
She also appeared in several episodes of the
television drama
"Homicide" and worked on the films
"Home for the Holidays," directed by Jodie
Foster, and "Twelve Monkeys." She considers her
greatest role to be her real life role playing
"mom" to two wonderful teenagers.
