Joseph
Frost is an actor, director, writer and
teacher. He is an assistant professor of
theatre at Belhaven College in Jackson,
Mississippi, and the Founding Artistic Director
of the floodlight theatre company. He was a
founding member of the SlapHappy!
Improvisational Comedy Troupe, and served for a
year as its Artistic Director. Joseph holds an
MA in Theatre and an MFA in Script and
Screenwriting from Regent University, and is a
member of the Dramatist’s Guild. He served as
the coordinator for the Crowded House Theatre
Group of Hampton Roads, and is a participant in
the annual Art Within Symposium and Showcase.
His acting resume includes such varied
performances as Charlie in The Foreigner, Henry
in The Fantastics, and an award-winning turn as
Hamlet. Joseph’s The Great Play won the Regent
University One Act Competition and was performed
at CITA in 2003, along with his short play,
DisEase. Joseph has been a member of CITA since
1996. He and his wife, Shannon, have two
children, Nina and Darby.
