event is a part of the ever expanding offerings by CITA for students in
secondary education. Students in grades 6-12 are eligible.
All festival performances will take place on one venue
stage in front of the other contestants, professional adjudicators, visiting
college representatives and audience members. Registration forms and payment
must be received no later than October 10th in
order to reserve your performance spot. Slots will be filled on a first
come, first served basis and require a registration fee per event

develop your art. Our dynamic production program provides student actors and
technicians rich opportunities to develop and hone their theatrical skills.
We are preparing students for careers in theatre performance (acting and
directing), design, arts administration (stage management) and theatre
ministry. Our program has already placed students in M.F.A. acting programs
at Florida Atlantic University, Mary Baldwin College and Regent University.
The B.A. degree in Theatre offers multiple levels of acting, as well as
classes in directing, stage management, auditioning, stage movement, theatre
history, voice, dialect, and theatre management. If musical theatre is your
passion, you will find a home at AU, as we begin to focus a new curriculum
in that direction.

Belhaven College:
Our mission is to provide
students with the opportunities necessary to develop their God-given
abilities in order to function in the profession, to build a strong
foundation for graduate studies in theatre, or to enrich their college
education with theatre experiences at home and abroad.
Building further on our outstanding
tradition of integrating the arts into a Christian world view, a major in
theatre with a Bachelor of Arts Degree can emphasize Performance, Production
or Theatre Ministries. Coursework is offered in theatre history, acting,
directing, and stagecraft at the beginning and advanced levels. Practical
experience is provided through on-campus productions. To round out the
major, students may develop internships and residency journeyman
opportunities with various domestic and international theatre companies and
missions or ministries venues under the supervision of the Belhaven Theatre
Department.
